THE PERFECT BIN FOR ANY ROOM
At the office or at home, a trash can is essential. It contributes to a tidy and clean environment. Are you wondering which trash can is right for which space? We got you!
A TIDY KITCHEN
Starting with the kitchen… because, in almost every home there is a bin in the kitchen. It makes sense because this is the area where we produce the most waste. Since a trash can is nearby, you can dispose of empty packaging, food scraps and other waste immediately.
Whereas bins used to be hidden away today bins are increasingly getting a prominent place in the kitchen. And we fully understand that! After all, EKO bins look so good!
SHAPES AND SIZES
One of the most important things to consider is the shape and volume of the bin and the available room you have for a trash can. With a rectangular or semicircular bin in the corner of the kitchen, you can save floor space. Plenty of room? Then consider a round one to create a playful effect!
The appropriate bin size can be determined by the number of people in the household. For a one-person household, a capacity of 20 to 30 liters will suffice. If you live with 3 people then 30 to 40 liters will do. Are there more than 4 people living in the house? Then look for a bin with a capacity of 40 to 50 liters. A bin that is over 50 liters is suitable for a household of 5 people or more.
FEATURES YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU NEEDED
Intelligent features that you can add to the bins in our collection (note that some options are applicable to selected bins) make trash-throwing easy, clean and efficient. Consider specifications such as the stay-open design, which helps to keep the lid open, which is convenient for cleaning and changing the plastic bag. Or think about getting a plastic bag fixer that keeps the plastic bag in place and out of sight. Some of our bins are also equipped with a sensor. This makes it easier to keep everything clean and tidy.
YOUR BIT FOR A BETTER WORLD
Would you like to separate waste? An EKO bin makes this a lot easier. For example, we offer duo bins, in which you can separate residual and green waste. We even have waste separation garbage cans with three compartments that allow you to divide your waste between green and residual and plastic! This is a great way to reduce your own carbon footprint and do your bit for a better world.
BIN FOR THE TOILET
While many homes also have trash cans in the toilet, usually these are a lot smaller than the ones in the kitchen. After all, people usually only use the toilet trash can to throw away empty toilet rolls or feminine products. By placing a trash can in the toilet area, you prevent people from flushing these items down the toilet. To make the best use of the space available in the toilet we recommend that you use a small capacity bin with a volume of less than 8 liters.
To avoid frequent bending, it is convenient to consider a trash can that has a pedal function. With a simple step on the designated pedal, you can open the lid and deposit your waste in the bin, and you can easily close the lid by lifting your foot.
BATHROOM BINS FOR ANY SITUATION
A bin in the bathroom, unnecessary luxury? Certainly not! Even though it is mostly used for the same purpose as in the toilet, a trash can in the bathroom is used for other things as well. For example, it is ideal for easily throwing away cotton pads, empty shampoo and douche gel bottles, toothpaste, a jar of gel and toilet rolls. Again, we recommend choosing a smaller size to prevent foul odors.
A CLEAN BEDROOM
Do you have clutter lying around in your bedroom? A bin in your bedroom can help! . They are ideal if you need to throw away new clothing tags or used makeup removal wipes. That way, every time you have something you want to throw away, you don’t have to walk to another room. Not only is having a trash bin the bedroom useful but it can also even add extra flair to your bedroom!
IN THE CHILDREN'S BEDROOM
A trash can is also super handy in your kid’s bedroom, especially when they get a little older and start to spend more time in their bedroom. Spending more time in their bedroom means that they will also collect more trash in their room, such as food and packaging. To prevent them from keeping trash in their room, it is handy if they have a bin right in their own room. This way, they don’t have to walk to the kitchen to throw it away.
Preferably, choose a trash can with a lid, so it won’t smell in the room. The ideal volume for your bedroom is 10 to 30 liters.
BINS FOR THE PROFESSIONAL WORKING ENVIRONMENT
At EKO you will also find waste bins for the professional working environment that meet your business’ requirements. Waste separation is desired (and/or mandatory) within many companies. Therefore, look at whether and how you want to separate waste and certainly at the type of waste you want to collect and separate.
Or are you increasingly working from home? Even then, a good trash can in your workplace should not be missing!
